Biodataonline develops & manufactures measuring systems.
These systems are wireless stand alone applications & require GSM coverage at the location to be measured. The user only needs a standard web browser, user name & a password in order to access the data & adjust the setup of the measuring system.
The equipment can be customized in order to meet almost any wishes our clients may have.
Furthermore, in connection to a given biological field of interest, we offer our assistance in the selection of the key parameters to be measured.
Finally we offer to hand over of a full report, thus giving a presentation of the measurements at hand.
Below development history concerns our top model. Simpler systems are also available on request.
For example a data logger, that will occasionally be active & send SMS to service personnel. Such simple systems can be sufficient in cases that require monitoring at single depths with long interval between measurements, or for monitoring a single parameter in order to send an alarm.
Development history of freshwater vertical profile measuring system:
2006: A simple first prototype was developed.

First prototype at it's initial location.
2007: Above system provided a new scope of data, which enabled the freshwater laboratory at Copenhagen University to verify a number of new algorithms, leading to a deeper understanding of the environment. However, during this season it became evident that the process of retrieving the measured data was quit time consuming, thus a number of data loggers had to be retrieved on location & this data had to be co arranged manually before the data analysis could commence.
2008: At the freshwater symposium in Aarhus, biodataonline introduced a new online based vertical profile measuring system. The system is a stand alone system, which is powered by solar cells, and it is accessed by a standard web browser. The user can specify date interval & download a data file, see the physical location of the system on a map (GPS), change measuring depths & interval, receive alarms by SMS if for example the power supply runs low.
System shown below is equipped with a probe from YSI, but can be adapted to make use of almost any probe with a known interface protocol.

2009: Water quality is continously being monitored using five autononomous measurement platforms.
The systems are placed in a network of streams in Northern Sealand, Denmark.
